New centrifugal bilge water treatment

A new type of centrifugal bilge water system has been presented by Alfa Laval. The PureBilge is a fully automatic, all-in-one system with a pumping stage, a preheating stage, and a centrifugal separation stage with full process control and monitoring. This dynamic bilge water treatment system utilises a high speed, disc-type centrifugal separation technology, which according to Alva Laval is claimed to equal a conventional gravity system with a settling area of 20,000 m~2.
