High speed diesel designs continue to develop

Makers of high speed diesel engines continue to refine existing designs and introduce new variants, as Dag Pike reports. Several manufacturers have introduced new diesel engines or upgraded versions of existing engines. The trend towards electronic diesels continues and Japanese builder Yanmar is one of the last of the major manufacturers to make the step up to the use of electronics.
