Innovative shallow and deep draught tug building

There have been a variety of innovative tug designs in recent years with most of the innovation focussed on improving the manoeuvrability of the tug. When a vessel is required mainly for ship handling then manoeuvrability is paramount, but other tugs are used for a variety of purposes and increasingly we are seeing tugs being designed with specific characteristics. When Holyhead Towing was in the market for a new tug the company felt that there was a niche for a shallow draught tug.
