Cooking with gas

"The move from oil to natural gas is simply the next progression in the evolution of maritime transportation." So spoke Angus Campbell, managing director of European vessel manager Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagment UK (BSM) at the Gastech 2015 conference, hosted in Singapore in October last year. However, it could be argued that, over the past year or so, the small-to-medium-sized boat sector's interest in LNG has somewhat waned - partly due to the greater availability (and lower cost) of high-end battery technology, and partly as a result of minor progression in the creation of a solid LNG bunkering infrastructure across international ports.
