Global agricultural goods merchant and processor Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC) is making a large-scale investment in pusher tugs and barges for operation on the Amazon River system. The programme forms a key element of the group's strategy of strengthening supply chains and logistic capabilities in Brazil, where it is involved in the grain, sugar, fertiliser, coffee, oilseed and citrus juice markets, among other sectors.
