Sanmar Shipyards, Turkey has delivered a modified version of a RAL-designed RAmparts 2200-class tug to PKL Flote's tugboat fleet in the port of Ventspils, Latvia. Originally called Sirapinar Ⅷ, the 22.4m × 10.85m vessel has been renamed Altair by her owner. The vessel's hullform was ice-strengthened to assist operations in icy conditions on the eastern stretch of the Baltic Sea. The port of Ventspils has an annual throughput of approximately 20 million tonnes. The RAmparts 2200 series features a bollard pull of 50tonnes and a maximum draught of 4.67m.
