A team of researchers at the National University of Singapore (NUS) has developed an underwater, remote-controlled robot, closely modelled - in both looks and movement - on a manta ray.Currently dubbed the MantaDroid, the bot could prove an effective future means of conducting underwater surveillance missions, particularly in restricted waters which may prove inaccessible to more conventionally shaped ROVs.
