A colorimetric sensor for hydrogen sulfide: Detection from biogas and quantitative estimation in water

摘要

A dansyl-naphthalimide conjugated sulfonamide (DNPS) is reported for the selective colorimetric detection of hydrogen sulfide from biogas at micromolar scale. The chemodosimetric changes of DNPS upon interaction with H2S in both liquid and gas phase have been well justified by spectroscopic and theoretical techniques. Potentiality of the probe DNPS can be implied to develop a sensor for quick detection to the exposure of such harmful gas and to protect our environment as well.
