We have discussed above some of the questions that we have encountered in our practice with regard to who is an affiliate and what are the consequences of affiliate status. We have also suggested some steps that issuer's counsel can take to avoid problems in this area. In a future issue of SRLJ we intend to discuss some additional aspects of affiliate status.
