The Navy League presented its 2005 Professional Excellence Awards at the National Convention in Norfolk, Va. The awards were handed out by outgoing Navy League President Sheila M. McNeill during a luncheon June 3. She was joined by Navy Rear Adm. Robert T. Conway Jr., Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Martin R. Berndt, Coast Guard Commandant Thomas H. Collins and Merchant Marine Associate Administrator for Homeland Security James E. Caponiti, who represented their respective sea services during the presentations.
