摘要

The San Diego Council transferred its Warrior Foundation program to Freedom Station, a separate 501(c)3 charity that provides temporary lodging facilities and educational and career guidance to service members who have been medically retired or discharged, during a ceremony April 17 in front of the newly refurbished Freedom Station housing complex in San Diego. The transfer included the presentation of a check for $1.6 million in funds that had been raised on behalf of the Warrior Foundation from Council President Ed Lang-maid to Sandy Lehmkuhler, the Warrior Foundation's executive director and president of Freedom Station, according to a report on the event compiled by Pamela Ammer-man, the council's vice president of Communications.
