San Diego Luncheon Celebrates Diverse Group of Women Enlisted

The Navy League's San Diego Council honored the accomplishments of enlisted women of the sea services with a luncheon that showcased their diversity and wealth of talent and skills. About 300 Navy Leaguers, sea service officials, family members and guests were on hand to recognize a group of 40 women from commands, ships and installations around the San Diego region who were nominated as junior and senior enlisted women of the year, according to council member Karen O'Connor, who chaired this year's event. The council has been hosting the women's enlisted luncheons for 46 years.
