Call for Prudence in Whole-Genome Testing

In their policy forum "patient autonomy and incidental findings in clinical genom-ics" (31 May, p. 1049; published online 16 May), S. M. Wolf et al. criticize the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG) for giving up on well-established principles of patient autonomy and informed consent. Like Wolf et al., the European Society of Human Genetics (ESHG) recently called for more prudence (I).
