Kobe Medical Industry Development Project Progressing Centering on RIKEN CDB

Kobe has been looking to rejuvenate itself in the wake of a disastrous earthquake that occurred ten years ago, which devastated the city with the resulting fire and other problems. From January 18 through 22 of this year, the United Nations World Conference on Disaster Reduction was held in Kobe, just a scant few weeks after the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami struck. Not only to mention the need to mitigate effects of such devastory events, Kobe has focused upon the medical efforts that would relieve the suffering resulting from widespread disasters.
