Symposium Commemorating 25th Anniversary of ERATO

This year marks the 25th anniversary of ERATO, which was started by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) in 1981 at a time when many people were highlighting Japan's lack of international contribution in basic research. The unique system of ERATO has attracted widespread attention, and some countries have attempted to incorporate the same system as a new research framework. A special symposium was held on June 30 at Tokyo International Forum to commemorate the 25th anniversary of ERATO research.
