Doctoral Research Environment in an Indian Institute of Higher Learning in Science and Technology

摘要

Doctoral students constitute an essential component of the research environment of any academic science institute. These scholars in science and engineering are the mainstay of the faculty members for publishing and patenting activity. Often, research of a faculty member is an extension of the research of these scholars. Given the significant role of the doctoral students in the research activity, this article seeks to understand the research environment of these students in science and engineering through a study conducted in an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).
