Has innovation policy an influence on innovation? The case of a country in transition

摘要

This paper evaluates Polish innovation policy and its effects on innovation activity in the county in the period of transition. After an in-depth survey of all relevant Government documents in the field of science and technology, there is an analysis of the country's innovation performance in the period 1989-2000. Technological innovation appeared to be highly sensitive to the general situation in the national economy. However, it is difficult to find clear correlations between innovation activity and innovation policy.
