摘要

Two simple, sensitive and reproducible spectrophotometric method (Method A and Method B) are developed for the determination of Lercanidipine (LCD) in bulk and in pharmaceutical formulations. Method A is based on the formation of colored species on treatment of reduced Lercanidipine with Para Di-methyl amino benzaldehyde to form a schiffs base and having λ_(max) at 385 nm. Method B is based on the formation of ion-association complex between reduced Lercanidipine and Methyl orange to get a yellow coloured solution with λ_(max) at 425 nm. Results of analysis were validated statistically and by recovery studies. These methods are successfully employed for the determination of Lercanidipine (LCD) in various pharmaceutical preparations.
