摘要

The novel octadecanuclear Cu-RE cluster have been isolated from the reaction system of aqueous Cu~(2+)-RE~(3+)-pyb (RE=Sm, Eu; pyb=pyridine betaine) and characterized by single-crystal structural analysis. The results show that the dusters comprise a [Cu_(12)RE_6(μ_3-OH)_(24)(μ_(12)-ClO_4)]~(17+) octahedral core, which encapsulates a ClO_4~- ion and has 18 water molecules and 12 bridging pyb carboxylato ligands as external ligands.
