Schroedinger's Course:the Availability Of Courseson Resources In Science And Technologyamong Lis Programs

This article reports on a content analysis of ALA-accredited MLIS programs performed to determine how many offer a course on resources in science and technology. Periodic availability and currency of offered courses are investigated. Implications for sci-tech librarianship and LIS education are discussed. Results reveal that 30 percent of LIS programs adequately offer such a course, but 55 percent do not offer it with reasonable frequency.
