Prof. H. Chaudhuri Commemorative Conference on Research Innovations in Aquatic Genomics and Biotechnology

摘要

In India, major technological breakthrough and advancements of knowledge on genomics, genetics and biotechnology and their application have already made a significant impetus on production of edible and cultivable economically-important aquatic species, which is a step forward towards food and nutritional security of the nation. In order to bring into light the lesser-known biotechnological and genomic aspects of aquaculture and fisheries management and their contribution in shaping the future of commercial aquaculture in Indian sub-continent, and to facilitate sharing of ideas among young scientists and distinguished professionals, the Zoological Society, Kolkata in collaboration with Department of Zoology, University of Calcutta organized the National Level Young Scientists Meet-2016 and Prof. Hiralal Chaudhuri Commemorative Conference on the theme 'Research Innovations in Aquatic Genomics and Biotechnology - An Indian perspective' during February 5-6, 2016 at Centre for Research in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (University of Calcutta), Salt Lake, Kolkata.
