Development of a Novel Acidification Corrosion Inhibitor for P110 Steel at High Temperature

摘要

A new corrosion inhibitor named TG201 was prepared from quinoline quaternary ammonium compound, mannich base and a synergist. The corrosion inhibition property was evaluated for P110 carbon steel in acid condition (20% HCI). The inhibitor performance was investigated by weight-loss measurements and electrochemical tests. The results showed that the inhibitor can significantly decrease corrosion for P110 steel under the condition of acidification and high-temperature and the corrosion inhibition efficiency can reach to 98%. Potentiodynamic polarization curves indicate that the inhibitor acted as a mixed type one. The inhibition effects are due to the formation of protective films, which follows the Langmuir adsorption isotherm.
