Many companies have implemented enterprise applications such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM), but the best-practice companies have moved beyond enterprise applications to enterprise service platforms. Just a few years ago, the challenge facing IT management was deciding which enterprise applications - ERP, CRM, SCM - to invest in and how to implement them quickly.
