Clive Thomas is solutions director for finance, controlling, and administration at BP. Whenever he can, he arranges his travel plans around the dates of the SAP Finance Best Practice Workshops. BP is one of the world's three largest energy companies and is represented in more than 100 countries. Its four main areas of activity are the exploration and production of crude oil and natural gas; refining, marketing, supply, and transportation; the manufacture and marketing of petrochemicals; and gas, power, and renewables. Thomas coordinates the selection and implementation of IT solu-tions for the finance/administration area. Currently, he is preparing the global roll out of mySAP ERP Financials, scheduled to last five years.
