Every time Caradon Everest, a United Kingdom-based supplier of custom windows and conservatories, sold a sun room, they built it twice: once in the factory and again at the customer's site. The typical Everest sales process involved several visits to the cus- tomer site by both salespeople and surveyors. Yet, the finished product still didn't always fit precisely.
