When it comes to ease of use, the MES from Liferaft Systems Australia (LSA) is uncomplicated. It is believed to be the only inclined slide system in the world that transfers passengers directly from the vessel into a large-capacity liferaft without the use of a boarding system. It is said that, unlike many other designs of MES, all passengers regardless of age, size or physical ability can safely descend the slide with ease, and even seriously injured passengers can be lowered down by stretcher.
