Union debates fatigue and enclosed spaces

Safety issues were at the top of the agenda at the biennial general meeting of Nautilus, the Anglo-Dutch maritime professionals' union, held in May in Gateshead, UK. The dangers of enclosed spaces and fatigue were foremost in delegates' minds. Senior officers expressed grave concern over the continuing loss of life in enclosed spaces on board ships.
