A crewman was airlifted from a container ship off the coast of Alaska in late April, after he was found unconscious in the engine room.rnThe 50-year-old engine-room maintenance man was discovered by fellow crewmen on board Horizon Tiger on 22 April.rnThe ship's master was notified, and he then called the Coast Guard in Kodiak at 13.17. A helicopter was sent out to the scene, lifted the casualty off the ship in arnbasket at 16.50 and flew to Air Station Kodiak, from where the crewman was transferred by ambulance to hospital just before 18.00.
