For providers of maritime safety productsrnand services, the advent of Posidonia 2010 (held from 7 to 11 June) begs a familiar question: will safety continue to be a priority with budgets under strain from the effects of the global economic downturn? The question is especially pertinent now, for even if the shipping exhibition is taking place as normal, the atmosphere in the host country is fevered, as the national debt crisis mounts.
