Costa rebuts response report

Costa Crociere has defended an executive accused of failing to respond quickly enough to the emergency aboard Costa Concordia after it hit rocks off the island of Giglio on 13 January, with the loss of 32 lives. A pre-trial judicial report leaked to the Italian press on 17 September said that Costa crisis co-ordinator Roberto Ferrarini did not appear to have had the "real pulse" of conditions aboard the ship after the accident.
