摘要

Piracy and armed robbery cases declined in Asia for the first three quarters of the year, most evidently in the Straits of Malacca and Singapore, according to the organisation Regional Cooperation Agreement on Combating Piracy and Armed Robbery against Ships in Asia Information Sharing Centre (ReCAAP ISC). For January-September 2013, a total of 90 incidents were reported, 86 of which were actual incidents, while four were attempted. Further, out of the 86 actual incidents, six were piracy cases, while 80 were straightforward armed robberies, ReCAAP ISC pointed out in its report, released at the end of October.
