PURPOSE: A falling object blocking device is provided to prevent that raw materials falls from a ship and fall into the water, thereby preventing the environmental contamination.;CONSTITUTION: A falling object blocking device(100) comprises a fender(20) and a blocking plate(10). The fender locates in the vicinity of the land(C). The fender touches in a ship(S) floating on the water(W). The blocking plate locates on the fender. The blocking plate slopes downward against the horizontal plane. The blocking plate spreads to the land. The blocking plate comprises a first blocking plane and a second blocking plane. The first blocking plane secludes that material falling from the ship flows into the water. The second blocking plane is away from the first blocking plane.
