A former Spanish maritime inspector has accused the master and chief engineer of the tanker Prestige of sabotage to make the vessel run aground off the Spanish coast. Serafin Diaz, the inspector who was sent to the endangered tanker off the Spanish coast 10 years ago, rejected the account from Prestige's former chief engineer that the engines could not be started because of technical problems.
