Arrest spotlights drugs route

A Kenyan court has charged the Iranian captain and nine Pakistani and Indian crew of general cargo ship Amin Darya with drug trafficking offences following their arrest in early July. The Kenyan Navy arrested the ship off Lamu on 2 July. It was brought to the Mtongwe military base within Mombasa port, where the bagged cargo of cement was unloaded and the ship searched using sniffer dogs.
