UK training reviewed

The UK Merchant Navy Training Board (MNTB) is undertaking a full review of seafarer education and training - Training 2025 - "to ensure that shipping companies' needs for high-quality, well-trained, certified officers and ratings are met, now and into the future". Head of the board Glenys Jackson said, "Interesting times are ahead for a newly invigorated and re-constituted MNTB", which has already adopted the 10 recommendations of an interim report of the review of its services.
