Crew missing after Chinese sand barge overturns in Taiwan Strait

Twelve Chinese crew members remain missing after two sand barges were hit by strong winds in the Taiwan Strait on 6 October 2019. The barges, Jia Liang and Dong Hong, were transporting sand near the Pescadores Islands, known as Penghu in Taiwan, when they were battered by strong winds.
