Survitec Group has introduced an aviation lifejacket to the offshore sector that has a more slimline profile and is significantly lighter than other lifejackets on the market. The Halo passenger lifejacket's weight reduction was achieved through the incorporation of a fully integrated Emergency Breathing System (EBS), featuring a carbon composite cylinder, braided low pressure hose and second stage with integrated nose clip. At just 949 g the Survitec EBS is 43% lighter than previous Survitec models and, according to Survitec, is 30% lighter than competing emergency breathing systems. With a working pressure of 310 bar, the composite cylinder provides 80% more breathable air than the industry minimum standard for EBS.
