There are lots of different influences on deciding to change jobs - but one common factor that often unites us is the salary and whether we are being paid the going rate for the job. On the findings of this latest survey the best annual salaries seem to be offered in high risk industries like oil and gas (£58,000), railways (£41,300) and chemicals (£40,200). At the opposite end of the scale, the lowest paid sector is textiles (£25,800) followed by postal (£28,400), security (£28,700) and local government (£29,000).
