Union qualms over blacklisting 'loopholes'

The practice of blacklisting will be officially outlawed through new regulations that could be brought into effect in early 2010. But the union that has spearheaded the campaign for their introduction fears they are too weak.rnThe Government announced its plans on 2 December in response to consultation on new regulations, which were drafted following evidence last year that a number of building firms had been unlawfully vetting workers (see SHP April and September, News).
