A lesson in sharing

As a former teacher and school governor I was impressed with the writer of January's letter of the month - until the very last paragraph. To suggest that risk management rests solely with safety professionals, and that line managers are "incompetent alternatives" is not a philosophy that I believe will lead to success. Delivery of the management of risk is a line-management function and accountability, and should not rest with the safety professional.
