Global safety and health talks in Singapore

Health and safety experts from around the world gathered in Singapore recently for a summit focused on the construction sector. The second International Workplace Safety and Health Conference, was held at the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Academy. The event was organised by IOSH Singapore Branch, the BCA Academy and the Workplace Safety and Health Council (WSHC). The talks provided a platform for stakeholders from the building and construction industry to share and promote continuous improvement in workplace safety and health standards for the industry. IOSH Singapore Branch spokesman Harry Ho said: "This symposium provided a rare opportunity to learn from international experts about excellence in raising construction health and safety standards." BCA Academy spokesman Charlie Tan commented: "BCA Academy, the education and research arm of the Building and Construction Authority, was glad to partner IOSH Singapore and the Workplace and Safety Health Council to arrange the second International Conference on Workplace Safety and Health for the Construction Industry.
