As part of our battle against 'short-termism', IOSH was pleased to arrange a round-table debate on 'OSH in sustainability', with our colleagues from Center for Safety and Health Sustainability (CSHS), prior to the IOSH 2013 Conference and Exhibition. This aimed to build on last month's launch of ground-breaking research from CSHS, flagging up major weaknesses in the reporting from organisations listed as some of the most sustainable in the world. As well as urging change to reporting guidelines like Global Reporting Initiative and also to sustainability 'ranking criteria' we were pleased to launch an exciting new OSH framework for corporations to use (see p23).
