World Climate Change Conference

The World Climate Change Conference was held in Moscow from 29 September to 3 October 2003. This international scientific forum was attended by more than 2200 scientists from 86 countries as well as by leaders of a number of international organizations: Executive Director of the UN Environment Program, Klaus Toepfer; Secretary-General of the World Meteorological Organization, Godwin 0. P. Obasi; Executive Secretary of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UN FCCC), Joke Waller-Hunter; Executive Secretary of the Vienna Convention for the Protection of the Ozone Layer, and the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer, Marco Gonzales; Chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, Rajendra Pachauri; Director-General of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, Jacques Diouf; Canadian Environment Minister, David Anderson; Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development of France, Roselyne Bachelot-Narquin; and Norwegian Environment Minister, Boerge Brende, and others.
