Kenneth (Ken) K. Jacobsen

Ken Jacobsen, long-time officer with Lloyd Helicopters, passed away March 21, 2014. He was 72. Ken was a stalwart of the helicopter industry for more than 40 years, working as a pilot, engineer, and consultant. Born in Bancroft, Nebraska, Ken enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1960 as a helicopter mechanic. He later trained as a pilot and served as a maintenance test pilot, flight instructor, and army aviation liaison to the Pennsylvania National Guard. He completed tours of duty in Europe and Vietnam. For his service, Ken was awarded, among others, the Master Aviator Badge, the Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, and Bronze Star.
