ERS, Western Summit Install ECCV Pipeline

When East Cherry Creek Valley (ECCV) Water & Sanitation District needed a 14.5-mile pipeline and a pump station to move all that water, ERS Constructors-Pipeline Division of TIC, Highlands Ranch, Colo., and Western Summit Constructors Inc. of Denver came to the rescue and built one of Colorado's largest current pipeline projects on the fast track in less than one year. (ERS and Western Summit are subsidiaries of TIC Holdings of Steamboat Springs, Colo.) Until this May, ECCV was receiving a third of the water for its 50,000 customers in the southeastern Denver suburbs from nearby Aurora through a water trade agreement. Although negotiations to purchase water rights from the Willows Water District began in 1998 and ECCV bought the rights in 1999, the district couldn't move forward until the water rights decrees were finalized. Then Camp Dresser & McKee (CDM) of Denver completed the design before bidding could begin.
