Hoover Dam Bypass bridge

Until high winds on the afternoon of Sept. 15 toppled the 330-foot-tall latticework towers on both the Arizona and Nevada sides of the project's 2,500-foot cableway crane system, the $114-million Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge was right on schedule for its planned 2008 completion. Now, however, that schedule is being revised and will be considerably delayed.
