National Minimum and Living wages to rise in 2017

The Pay Survey Report provides RHA members with the ability to monitor pay trends. Tabled (right) are some of the main findings: From April 2016, a National Living Wage (NLW) took effect for employees aged 25 and over, with a level originally set at £7.20. This was increased by 4.2% in the Autumn Statement 2016tto take effect from April 2017t- the new rate will be £7.50. Under a plan from the Low Pay Commission the intention is that the NLW will reach £9 per hour by 2020.
