Bomag Americas Inc. is introducing the new Asphalt Manager II. This intelligent compaction quality-control tool is the global leader for automatic compaction control on heavy asphalt tandem rollers. Optimal compaction quality is achieved by Bomag's exclusive drum energy vectoring method. This innovation supplies vertically directed vibration for soil bases and asphalt binder layers as well as horizontal directed vibration that is effective in compacting thin-lift asphalt wear layers. The horizontal vibration is also ideally suited for bridge and parking deck work as well as sensitive areas where conventional vibration methods may not be allowed. Four additional vector positions also are provided to deliver a wide range of versatility for varying material applications.
