The new 84.1-in.-wide highway-class Bomag BW206AD-5 tandem vibratory roller boasts a 55.1-in. drum diameter to put more impact surface area in contact with the asphalt to help prevent mat pushing/shoving and eliminate the potential for waves in front of the drum. The "leg design" roller extends the length between the drums, and offers 66% higher curb clearance, increasing flexibility when compacting around obstructions. At an operating weight of 30,643 lb and a compaction width of 84.1 in., the BW206AD-5 offers a low frequency and amplitude of 3,000 vpm and 0.031 in., delivering a compaction output of 39,116 lb. The high vibration frequency is at 4,200 vpm.
