Letter from New York City

摘要

Spring is making a rather hesitant start in NY. Lakes of muddy water accumulate by the kerb as obedient New Yorkers wait patiently for the bright blue lit man signal to walk. I'm in Manhattan in search of its three architecture centres. First on my search is the imposing private house, reached across a generous courtyard giving directly on to Madison Avenue, where the Architectural League shares the wing known as the Urban Center with the Municipal Arts Society and New Yorkers for Parks.
